Time’s up…pencils down…eyes forward. Testing has been the predominant form of assessing learning as a quick means for determining what an individual has learned. While testing has its place in assessing recall and initial understanding of core definitions and concepts, the overuse of testing has resulted in reducing the evaluation of learning to a test score.
Knowledge is only as good as what you do with it. Educators often ask themselves, “Did my students actually get it?” Employers question if their employees actually have the competencies to meet the demands of an ever changing set of job requirements. At the same time, employees and students feel disenfranchised from the process of review and assessment and wonder “what’s in it for me?”
The ShowEvidence team is excited to announce the final version of our application before we formally launch our solution. Over the past several months we have been working with some exceptional partners and customers who have been extremely valuable in providing feedback and playing the role of critical consumer. Instead of being complacent with what we built, the real test was seeing our solution being used in the classroom. It is at this point where product design and usability is put to the test.
